  • November 1: Hawaii announced that it had fired coach Norm Chow after a 2-7 start.
  • Offseason heat check: Mountain West Connection says HC Norm Chow is basically gone unless the Rainbow Warriors pull of a stunning bowl bid.

Houston

  • December 4: Houston and Tom Herman have agreed to a new five-year deal, Steven Godfrey is reporting.
  • November 30: Houston expects to have a new deal with Tom Herman done soon, athletic director Hunter Yurachek tells Steven Godfrey.
  • November 28: A Houston star player says Tom Herman “killed the South Carolina thing” and won’t be doing much this week besides focusing on the conference championship.
