Fantasy Football: DeMarco Murray will play for Tennessee Titans

Oct. 22 (UPI) — Running back DeMarco Murray will be active for the Tennessee Titans’ matchup Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Sources told ESPN Sunday that Murray will suit up for the 1 p.m. contest at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.

Sources also told NFL Network Sunday that the Titans are “optimistic” about Murray’s status for the game.

Murray rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in the Titans’ Week 6 win against the Indianapolis Colts. He has been dealing with hamstring issues this season and did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. He got in a limited session at Friday’s practice.

Derrick Henry and Murray each tallied 39 snaps in last week’s victory. Henry turned his 19 carries into 131 yards and a touchdown.

Murray was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Titans coach Mike Mularkey told reporters Friday that he “could be” a game-time decision.

Henry told the Titans website that he wants to take “full advantage of it” when the opportunity is there.

“I just approach it like any other week,” Henry said. “Compete every day, get better, and get ready for a good opponent in the Cleveland Browns.”

For fantasy football purposes, these two players were both startable in Week 6. This week could be a different challenge, as the Browns haven’t been terrible against the run this season. In fact, the Browns are tied with the Denver Broncos for allowing the fewest yards per carry (3.0) and have surrendered the sixth-fewest rushing yards per game this season.

Both running backs are RB2s for me this week as I don’t expect huge performances.
